SAP Crystal Solutions is a series of software programs. Crystal Reports makes it easy to create and edit presentation reports. While a convenient program to have, it may be necessary to remove the software. The uninstall tool may not always remove all of the associated files, so the files must be manually removed from the registry.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Open the "Start" menu and click the "Computer" icon. Double-click the main hard drive icon and open the "Program Files" folder. Open the "Common Files" folder, then "Crystal Decisions." Right-click and delete the file titled "2.5."

  2. 2

Return to the "Program Files" folder. Open the "Crystal Decisions" folder and delete the file titled "Crystal Reports 10." Close the window.

  3. 3

Open the "Start" menu and type "regedit" into the search bar. Press "Enter" to open the Registry Editor.

  4. 4

Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder, then "Software" and then "Crystal Decisions." Delete the file titled "10.0."

  5. 5

Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder, then "Software" and "Crystal Decisions." Again, delete the file titled "10.0."

  6. 6

Click the "HKEY_USERS" folder, then "S-x-x-x-x...xxxx," "Software" and "Crystal Decisions." Delete the "10.0" file. The "X's" represent a series of numbers that is unique to every computer.

  7. 7

Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
