Fellowes laminators seal photos, drawings and important documents in a clear protective pouch to waterproof and preserve your valuables. Fellowes incorporates both a traditional hot lamination and a cold lamination mode in one product. The cold lamination mode allows you to use the item immediately without waiting for it to cool after you seal the pouch. The instructions differ from one mode to the other and use different lamination pouches.

Instructions

    Cold Lamination

  1. 1

Place the laminator on a desk or flat surface with room in front of and behind it for the laminated sheet.

  2. 2

Slide the button on the top of the laminator to the cold setting to the left. Wait for the laminator to warm up. There is a green indicator light that illuminates when the machine is ready.

  3. 3

Set a self-adhesive laminating pouch on a flat surface with the fold away from you. Open the top of the pouch by lifting it up and slide the item to laminate between the two sheets and against the fold.

  4. 4

Peel a small section of the self-adhesive film up from the fold. Insert the pouch into the laminator, aligning the sheet with the left edge guide. Peel the film off the pouch as it enters the laminator. The laminated item exits the rear of the machine.

    Hot Lamination

  1. 1

Place the laminator on a desk or flat surface with room in front of and behind it for the laminated sheet.

  2. 2

Slide the button on the top of the laminator to the right for the hot setting. Wait for the green ready indicator light to illuminate.

  3. 3

Place an item to laminate in a lamination pouch with the edge touching the rear fold of the pouch.

  4. 4

Place the lamination sheet with the fold first in the machine, aligning the left edge with the guide. Remove the laminated sheet as it exits the rear of the machine. Let the laminated object cool for several minutes on a flat surface.

  5. 5

Feed an empty cleaning sheet into the laminator to clean it before turning off the power. You may hot laminate several items in one day before cleaning it.

Tips and warnings

  • Remove each laminated sheet from the rear of the machine as soon as it exits to prevent jamming.
  • Cold lamination only works with self-adhesive pouches.
