Acer Manufactures a line of budget laptop computers called the Aspire. These computers come with many features, one of which is Wi-Fi capability. Wi-Fi connectivity is controlled by a wireless card inside the Acer. You don't need to know much about computers in order to turn on Wi-Fi on your computer, and it can be accessed right from the main desktop screen.
Click on the "Start" tab on the main desktop screen of your Acer and a list of options will appear in a drop-down menu.
Select "Connect To" from the list of options in the menu.
Select "Show All Connections" from the list of options that appear. A window will open with a list of icons.
Use your mouse to right-click on the "Wireless Connection Icon" and select "Enable" from the list of options. Wireless capability will then be turned on.
