Pastor appreciation is announced to show gratitude toward a church congregation's pastor. Some congregations set aside entire days to show pastor appreciation, but sometimes a simple announcement can be made to spread the word. Announcements should be made through spoken words and through flyers and posters. You can even create a card to have members of your congregation sign and give to your pastor. No matter how you choose to make the announcement, the most important aspect of announcing pastor appreciation is to spread the word of gratitude towards the leader of your church.

  1. 1

Print out paper pamphlets to pass out to the church congregation that announces a day when the congregation will celebrate pastor appreciation. The pamphlets should include the pastor's name and how long he has been a part of your church. The pamphlets can encourage everyone to get involved in spreading the word of gratitude toward the congregation's pastor.

  2. 2

Make posters using markers to write on poster board to spread the announcement of pastor appreciation in your church congregation. You can decorate the posters and write thank you messages and include your pastor's name and the number of years he has been at the church so everyone can be reminded to express personal appreciation to the pastor.

  3. 3

Create a thank you card to pass around the congregation to personally announce appreciation to the church's pastor. The message can say something like: "Thank you, Pastor John, for your dedication to our church for the past 25 years. We are so grateful to have you as a leader of God in our congregation." Try to get as many people as possible to sign the card before you deliver it to your pastor.
