Portable Document Format files are created from printable source material using a PDF writing program. These files may then be opened and viewed by anyone utilising a PDF reading program, such as the popular Adobe Acrobat, thereby eliminating the need for the source program. Because of the wide variety of programs from which PDF files are created, many will be colour files. If you have a colour PDF and want to print in black and white to save colour toner, you may do so in Adobe Reader by following a few steps.
