Steam is an online digital distribution platform that allows users to download and play computer games from the comfort of their own home. Unlike other digital distribution platforms, Steam does not allow coupon codes at checkout that take discounts off of products -- Steam offers their own discounts internally. However, Steam does allow retail CD keys to be added to Steam for over thirty computer games, enabling the user to a free copy of the game. Many video card companies will add a free game coupon with the purchase of their video card to be redeemed on Steam.
