How to Remove Google Voice & Video Chat on a Mac

Google's Voice & Video Chat plugin enables video and voice chat features in Gmail and iGoogle. This feature lets you engage in video or voice conversations with other Mac OS X or Windows users from inside your Gmail or iGoogle page in your Web browser. If you don't want to use the voice and video chat features anymore, you can uninstall the plugin.

    Click the "Finder" icon on the Dock at the bottom of the desktop.

    Click "Applications" in the sidebar at the left side of the Finder window.

  3. 3

    Double-click the "Utilities" folder in the Applications folder.

  4. 4

    Double-click the "Terminal" application icon in the Utilities folder.

  5. 5

    Type, or copy and paste, "./Library/Application Support/Google/GoogleVoiceAndVideoUninstaller.app" -- without the quotes -- into the terminal window.

  6. 6

    Press "Enter."
