The DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Machine is a pump espresso maker designed for consumer use in-home. Both ground coffee and pod coffee can be used in the machine. As you use the machine, it needs to be cleaned regularly. DeLonghi recommends cleaning the filter every 200 espressos, the boiler every 300 coffees and descaling every 200 coffees. Using a commercially available product designed for espresso machines is recommended by the manufacturer for descaling the unit.
