According to the BlackBerry website, the JVM Error 545 message will appear on your phone when your phone has "encountered a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) application-related problem, and is unable to continue running." Although irritating, there are a few different ways for you to troubleshoot your BlackBerry Storm to get it working properly again.

Update your software to resolve the problem. Connect your Storm to your computer using a USB connection.
Open your Internet and visit the BlackBerry Device Software update page. Click "Check for Updates."
Type your password for your Storm in the "Device Connection" dialogue box and then click "OK."
Follow the on-screen instructions to update your Storm. Restart your phone when complete. If your phone is still receiving the "JVM 545 Error" message, continue to the next section.
Remove the battery cover on the backside of your Storm smartphone.
Remove the battery and set it aside. Allow the battery to rest outside of your phone for 10 minutes.
Reinsert the battery into your phone and replace the battery cover.
Press and hold the "End/Power" button on your phone to start it back up. If your phone is still receiving the "JVM Error 545," continue to the following section.
Remove the battery from your Storm and attach the USB connector from your phone to your computer.
Open "BlackBerry Desktop Manager" from your desktop and click "Application Loader." Click "Start." If necessary, enter your Storm's password into the "Device Password" dialogue box and click "OK."
Click the check box next to the latest software version update available and click "Next." Click "Settings" within the Device Backup and Restore options. If necessary, click to uncheck "Back Up Device Data Automatically." Then, click to check the boxes next to "Delete All Application Data" and "Erase All Currently Installed Applications." Click "OK."
Reinsert your battery back into your Storm. Click "Next" in the Application Loader on your computer.
Click "Close" when you receive the message: The loading operation was successful. Turn your phone back on. If you're still receiving the error message, you will need to take your Storm into your service provider to be fixed professionally.
