Dazzle is a video capture card used with Pinnacle video editing equipment. This allows you to upload and import analogue-based content from an analogue video camera, VCR or other device. While importing you may notice the audio and video feeds are out of sync. To correct this, there are a few tasks you need to complete before actually attempting to upload the video.

Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Check your computer's hardware against what the Pinnacle software requires (the exact software you use is going to vary in requirements). To see what is running on your computer, click "Start," "Control Panel" and double-click the "System" icon. If your computer does not match or exceed the requirements, you are going to have a lag between the audio and video. To correct this, you must update and upgrade your computer.

  2. 2

Close out other programs while connecting the analogue device. If you don't, necessary RAM to run the program is used with the secondary program, causing lag between the audio and video.

  3. 3

Securely connect the audio/video cables to the Dazzle video capture card. If one cable is not completely connected to the port, you are going to lose the audio or video feed, or there may be a lag.

  4. 4

Restart the computer. It is possible the computer just didn't boot properly, causing the out-of-sync audio and video with the Dazzle video capture card.
