How to Change the Password on Your iPhone Twitter App

Updated April 17, 2017

Changing your password for the Twitter microblogging site is a sensible security measure that can prevent unauthorised access to your account. However, you may not be able to change your Twitter password from Twitter apps running on the Apple iPhone because many of these are produced by third-party software companies. To change your password for an iPhone Twitter app, visit the Twitter home page on your iPhone's Web browser and access the "Settings" menu for your account.

Tap the Web browser icon on your iPhone's home screen.

Navigate to the Twitter home page and log in to your Twitter account.

Click your Twitter name in the top right-hand of the menu navigation bar, and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "Password" tab.

Type your current Twitter password into the "Current Password" field, and your new password in the "New Password" and "Verify New Password" fields.

Click "Change" to save your changes. Twitter now changes your password. This applies to all Twitter apps and website access.

Tip

You can also change your Twitter password for website and app access by accessing your Twitter account on your personal computer's Web browser.
