The Epson Stylus Photo 1400 is a printer specialising in full-colour photographs. Because of the amount of detail and colour that the Epson 1400 uses, you may find that the ink pads run dry more often than with other printers. Replacing the ink pads on your Epson 1400 is fairly simple. The printer itself will let you know you need to replace the ink pad by lighting up a red ink light on the printer display.
