SMS text messaging is a standard feature of most cellphones, as a result of the vast popularity of this form of communication. The BlackBerry's text messaging system allows you to save messages to the phone's Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card. With this storage option, you can automatically keep a record of all of the memorable, hilarious texts from your friends, or important messages such as phone numbers and addresses.

    Click and select the phone's Options menu.

    Highlight and select "SMS."

  3. 3

    Switch the "Leave Messages on SIM Card" field to "Yes."
