The settings on your HP LaserJet 1600 printer control everything from the network address of the unit to which drawer it should use when printing. But while these settings are important, there may be times when you need to restore the printer to its default settings. This can help you troubleshoot the unit and overcome problems if it is malfunctioning.

    Log on to your computer and open the HP Toolbox by double-clicking the icon in the System Tray. Wait for the Toolbox window to open.
