BlackBerry smartphones are versatile handheld devices and are great for organising your contacts' phone numbers and e-mail addresses as well as your schedule and multimedia files. BlackBerry devices also support media cards for storage and SIM cards for identity verification. (SIM is an acronym for Subscriber Information Module and the SIM card contains your cellular account information.) Contact data may be stored on the device or the SIM card. If contacts were initially stored on the device, they can be copied over to the SIM card quite easily.

Press the "Menu" button on the BlackBerry device.

Select the "Contacts" icon on the main menu screen.

Select the contact to save to the SIM card.

Press the "Menu" button and select "Copy to SIM Phone Book" from the context menu.

Edit the contact prior to saving on the SIM, if desired.

Click the "Menu" button and click "Save" from the context menu. The contact is now saved to the SIM phone book.
