The streets of Liberty City in the video game "Grand Theft Auto IV" operate very similarly to the streets in real life, right down to the traffic lights at each corner. Red means stop. Green means go. You can obey the signal lights if you want, but there are few repercussions -- minus traffic accidents -- if you don't.

Instructions

  1. 1

Press the "Triangle" button on your controller while your character is standing next to a car. Your character will open the car door and get in. Now, instead of controlling your on-screen character, you control the car the character is riding in.

  2. 2

Press the "X" button to move the car forward. Use the left directional stick to navigate the direction the car is moving.

  3. 3

Drive around Liberty City until you come across a signal light. If the light is red, press the "Square" button to slow your car to a stop. Watch the light and wait for it to turn green. When the light turns green, press the "X" button to move the car forward again.
