Most women find an occasion to wear lingerie from time to time. If you want to draw characters in a wide variety of situations, you should learn to draw lingerie. Many types of lingerie are available, from two-piece sets made of cotton to intricate one-piece lingerie made of lace. To draw the most realistic lingerie, use a visual representation such as an online catalogue. Keep in mind that most people do not look like the models in lingerie catalogues.

Instructions

  1. 1

Determine the style of your drawing. Is your drawing a cartoon, or is it realistic? Is the cartoon anime-style, or are the characters animal-like?

  2. 2

Draw the outline of the character who will wear the lingerie. Start by drawing a oval head, then draw a basic torso and hips. Add arms and legs, if necessary. If you want to draw only the lingerie, skip this process.

  3. 3

Locate a guide for your lingerie drawing. Look through lingerie catalogues or display a piece of your lingerie on a table or chair so that you can view it.

  4. 4

Determine the feeling and character you want to convey with your lingerie drawing. Do you want a sexy or demure character? Do you want your character to seem feminine or tomboyish? A sexy character will wear lingerie that covers less area, or she may accentuate her lingerie with fishnet tights. A demure character may wear a long gown instead of two-piece lingerie, while a feminine character may have lingerie with a floral print. A tomboyish character will wear lingerie that more closely resembles workout gear.

  5. 5

Underline the bottom portion of the breasts to draw the bottom of the top piece of lingerie. Draw curved lines near the top of the breasts to finish the top portion. Draw straps, if desired, by drawing thin lines from the edge of the bra to the top of the shoulders.

  6. 6

Draw a line at the top of the hips that extends from the hips to the centre of the crotch. Draw a symmetrical line on the other side to finish drawing the bottom of the underwear. If you wish to draw a long piece of lingerie, such as a nightgown that extends past the hips, you may elect to skip this process.

  7. 7

Finish the top of the underwear by drawing a line slightly above the bottom of the underwear. Add any details you desire, such as a garter, stockings or lace edges.

  8. 8

Draw a bellybutton, facial features and hair on your character.

Tips and warnings

  • Add folds to your lingerie if it has any hanging pieces.
