Goo Gone is a product that removes stickers and residue from glass or just about anything else. However, Goo Gone is not exactly the most green product on the market. Save your money and the environment by whipping up a substance that will mimic the effects of Goo Gone without the price tag or the chemicals.

Things you need

  • Vegetable oil

  • Lemon juice

  • Orange essential oil

  • Spray bottle

Fill a plastic spray bottle 3/4 full of vegetable oil. Olive oil will work as well if you don't have vegetable oil on hand.

Decide how you want your homemade Goo Gone to smell. Commercial Goo Gone has an orange scent, so you can copy that by adding a few drops of orange essential oil to your vegetable oil, or fill the remainder of the bottle up with lemon juice for a fresh lemon cleanser.

Shake up your solution, and apply to surfaces as needed.

Warnings

  • Be careful where you spray any oil-based mixture. It could stain fabrics or leave a slick spot on floors.
