Internet Explorer 8, commonly referred to as IE8, is a Windows-based Web browser. IE8 contains a feature called InPrivate Filtering that can be used to block third-party content, including Google ads, from appearing when the browser is in use. Creating the filter settings does not require specialised computer skills, and in addition to Google ads, InPrivate Filtering can also be used to block other third-party content providers.

Open Internet Explorer 8.
Click on the "Tools" button at the top of the browser page and choose "InPrivate Filtering Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Select "Choose content to block or allow" from the dialogue window.
Select "www.google.com" from the "Content provider" menu and click on the "Block" button to block Google as a third-party content provider.
Click the "OK" button. This action will stop Google ads from appearing when browsing the Internet.
Tips and warnings
