Things you need
- 5 or 6 fun-sized candy bars or 1 regular sized chocolate bar
- 8.5x11-inch piece of heavy paper or card stock
Fold the piece of paper in half width-wise.
Glue the chocolate bar (in its wrapper) to the front of the card. Try to find a chocolate bar that says something about the person. For example, use a Take 5 chocolate bar to communicate that it's time for the receiver to take a break on his 40th birthday.
Write a message using the name of the chocolate bar on the front of the card. For example, "Take 5. You deserve it."
Open the card, and write a heartfelt 40th birthday message.
Large Chocolate Bar
Find five or six fun-sized candy bars with names you can work into a special 40th birthday message. Feel free to cover letters in the candy-bar labels to make new words.
Write a message on a separate piece of paper. The message will need to incorporate the names of the candy bars.
Fold your piece of paper in half width-wise.
Write your message on the front of the card, gluing the small candy bars where the words come into play. For example, "Sorry this card is cheap, it's five days until my payday." Instead of spelling out the word "payday," glue a fun-sized PayDay chocolate bar in its stead.
Include a special 40th birthday message inside the card.
