How to Find Out Your Machine ID

Knowing your machine ID, also known as computer and product ID, is essential for a variety of reasons. For instance, you may need your machine ID to perform tasks such as getting technical support, troubleshooting certain glitches and registering certain software on your PC. You can find your machine ID expeditiously by accessing the properties window for your computer.

Click the "Start" button that is found on the bottom-left region of your computer screen.

Hover you mouse cursor over the "Computer" option displayed on the Start menu.

Right-click your mouse as the cursor is over the "Computer" option and then select the "Properties" option from the pop-up box. Thereafter, the system information window will be displayed on your screen.

Locate the machine ID, which is displayed beside where it says "Product ID." This information is found at the bottom of the window, beneath the "Windows activation" heading. On this window you can also find your machine's model number, manufacturer, processor and system type.
