Shish kebab is pieces of meat, seafood or a combination of both and vegetables cooked on a skewer. They are easy to make on a grill, especially when cooking for a group of guests. If you have never eaten sish kebab, you may be a little perplexed as to how to properly consume this entrée. Proper sish kebab etiquette is to use a fork to remove the food from the skewers before eating. Never eat sish kebab by pulling the food off the skewer. This can lead to disastrous results.

Place the shish kebab on a plate atop rice or beside other side dishes.
Lift one end of the shish kebab with one hand and steady the opposite tip of the kebab on the plate.
Use a fork to remove the food from the skewer. Start at the bottom of the skewer and remove one piece of food at a time. Never try to remove more than one piece of food, this can result in an unfortunate mishap. Remove only a few pieces of food at a time.
Eat the removed pieces of kebab using a fork and knife. When the skewer is empty, place it on the side of the plate, never on the table or atop linen.
