Trend Micro Officescan provides different ways of installing the Officescan client to the computer. They range fromm remote installations coming from the server, login scripts to web-based installations. Most of these installations require that a computer be part of the network. Only one client installation method lets Officescan be installed on a non-networked client. Officescan has a utility called the Client Packager, which creates installation files for standalone or remote clients. It creates an executable file that users can run to install Officescan. It is set up to get updates directly from the Trend Micro website and not from the Officescan server.
