Whether you've been married for years or have just started dating someone, a romantic dinner invitation will be appreciated. You can write it with a personal message or inside joke that you two share. Deliver your note creatively with a small gift or other item, or you can hide it somewhere to be found. Your better half will love this special surprise treat from you, especially since dinner will follow.

Skill level:

Things you need

  1. 1

Fold your construction paper in half. Draw something romantic like a heart or a dove on the front of your card.

  2. 2

Write directions to where your dinner will be held on the inside, but write the directions so that the location will have to be searched for. Add an inside joke or a teasing remark.

  3. 3

Cook your love's favourite dinner and set it out with candles and soft music. Dress up and wait with your dinner until you're found.

Tips and warnings

  • You can make your card more elaborate by creating a treasure hunt in which your love has to find multiple clues before finding you.
