Toshiba laptops are shipped with a recovery partition on the hard drive that you can use to recover your laptop in the event of a problem with the machine. Because Toshiba laptops come with a built-in recovery partition, they are not shipped with a recovery disc set. If you feel more comfortable using recovery discs, or if you just want a recovery disc set to have on hand in case the recovery partition fails, you can create a recovery disc set using the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator program.
