Mozilla Firefox places its basic Internet browsing tools -- the Location bar, Home button, Refresh button and more -- on the Navigation Toolbar. Firefox also allows the installation and use of other toolbars, such as the Bookmarks and Google toolbars. These toolbars stretch across the top of the browser screen by default. If you accidentally delete a toolbar, Firefox gives you the ability to restore it.

  1. 1

    Open Mozilla Firefox.

  2. 2

Click "View," or press "ALT" and "V" at the same time.

  3. 3

Place your cursor over "Toolbars" in the drop-down menu. A new menu will open to the side.

  4. 4

Click any of the toolbars that do not have a check mark beside them. A check mark means that the toolbar is active and visible; clicking a toolbar's name will return it to your screen.

Tips and warnings

  • It's possible to reset toolbars to the Firefox default. Click "View" or press "ALT" and "V" to open the Toolbars menu. Click "Customize" and then choose the "Restore Default Set" button.
