How to Calculate Cosec on a Calculator

The cosecant (or cosec) function is the reciprocal of the sine function. While many calculators have a sine function, they rarely have a cosecant function. However, using a calculator is still the easiest way to find cosecant. You simply have to enter cosecant as 1 / sine.

Press the "(" key, then "1," then the division key. On the display, it should look like this: (1/

Press the "SIN" key. So far, it should look like this on the display: (1/sin(.

Type in the value you wish to find the cosecant of.

Press the ")" key twice, then press "=" or "ENTER."
