How to Check the Authenticity of a Mobile IMEI

In a world where counterfeit goods are readily available, you want to be able to tell when you have a genuine product. All mobile devices are given a unique 15 digit IMEI -- International Mobile Equipment Identity -- when they are produced. Counterfeit phones do not have registered IMEI numbers and can thus be identified as such. You can check whether or not your phone's IMEI number is authentic online.

    Find your phone's IMEI number. The IMEI can be found on a sticker underneath the battery. Alternatively type *#06# into your phone to display the IMEI number on the screen.
