Vimeo is a video-sharing website that caters to creative professionals and showcases a level of work not normally seen on other video-sharing sites like YouTube. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a security communication protocol issued to websites to make them more secure. When embedding a Vimeo video on a website with SSL, the video itself must also be secure for security reasons and thus must use Vimeo's SSL certification to be embedded.

    Click the "Embed" link on the right side of the video.

    Change "http://" to "https://" and change "" to "" before copying the embed code.

    Copy and paste the customised embed code onto the SSL-secured website.
