Click "Tools" on the Firefox main menu at the top of the browser window.
Click "Add-ons" in the "Tools" menu.
Click "Extensions" to display a list of extensions currently installed for the Firefox browser.
Locate the entry for "Bing Bar" in the "Extensions" window.
Click the "Disable" button in the "Bing Bar" listing. Click the "Restart" button when prompted. Firefox will close and restart without the Bing toolbar.
Tips and warnings
- A search helper extension is also installed with the Bing toolbar. This extension makes Bing your default search engine. Disable "Search Helper Extension" while disabling the Bing toolbar to remove this setting.
