HP designed the LaserJet P4515 to handle a variety of media types and sizes, including custom sizes. You can use the printer's control panel to configure the printer to match the size and type of media you load in the paper trays rather than simply use the printer's default settings. This will improve the print quality and placement on the media.

    Press the "Menu" button on the P4515 control panel. Press the down arrow button to select "Paper Handling" on the printer display screen, and press the "OK" button on the control panel.

    Press the down arrow button to select the tray you wish to configure, and press the "OK" button.

    Press the arrow buttons to select "Size" in the menu that appears, and press the "OK" button. Press the arrow buttons to select the paper size, or select the "Custom" option, and press the "OK" button. If you selected the "Custom" option, press the arrow buttons to select the unit of measurement you wish to use, and type the measurements of the print media on the numeric keypad on the printer control panel.

    Press the arrow buttons to select "Type" in the same menu as above, and press the "OK" button. Press the arrow buttons to select the type of media you wish to use. Press the "OK" button once you select the type of media.

    Press the "Menu" button to save your settings and exit the menu list.
