Hookah pipes are a type of instrument often used for smoking flavoured tobacco, often known as shisha. Unlike cigarettes, inhaling smoke from a hookah doesn't burn, which allows for a much more pleasurably experience as well as allowing the smoker to inhale more tobacco. Hookah pipes also have the benefit of being relatively easy to make with items that can often be found around the average home.

Things you need
- 2-liter plastic bottle
- Soda can
- Duct tape
- Plastic tubing
- PVC pipe
Cut a hole in the top of your plastic bottle for the plastic tubing. You want everything in your homemade hookah pipe to fit snuggly, so be careful not to make the holes too large. When you've got the right size, slide the tubing in.
Cut a small hole in the opposite end of the top of the bottle. This will be where your plug goes. The hole should be small enough to snuggly fit a pen.
Punch 10 small holes in the bottom of a soda can. This will be where you place your shisha. Flip the can over and cut a hole large enough to fit the top of your PVC pipe in.
Insert the PVC pipe into your plastic bottle. The top of the PVC pipe should stick out slightly. Add about 2 inches of water to your bottle, then place your soda can over the PVC pipe so the bottom side with the holes is pointing up.
Apply duct tape around the PVC pipe and soda can so that all parts of your hookah are as airtight as possible.
Place shisha at the top of the soda can. Cover the shisha with a small piece of foil. Tape the foil in place, then use your pen to poke several small holes into the top of the foil.
Place the coal on top of the foil and use your pen to plug the hole made in step 2. Light the coal and inhale through the plastic tubing.
