Federal Express has numerous shipping options that allow you to send your packages throughout the country and around the world. You are able to send a package overnight to most places, and depending on the time of day and location, you may be able to have your package delivered on the same day as shipping it. Sending something through Federal Express, or FedEx, as it is now known, is much easier than most people think.

  1. 1

Decide which type of FedEx service you would like to use: same-day, overnight, two to three business day, or business or residential ground service.

  2. 2

Pack your shipment securely in boxes or in a FedEx envelope, whichever is appropriate. It is best to use FedEx packaging materials, though it is not required. Secure the boxes by applying sturdy tape to both the top and the bottom of your box.

  3. 3

Fill out the FedEx shipping label with the recipient's name, address and telephone number.

  4. 4

Fill in your name, address and telephone number as the shipper.

  5. 5

Write in your FedEx account number, or your credit card number if you do not already have a FedEx account.

  6. 6

Fill in the appropriate boxes on the label to note your delivery choice.

  7. 7

Peel off the back of the FedEx label, and attach it to the top of your box.

  8. 8

Drop off your shipment at a FedEx drop-off point, or call FedEx customer service to arrange for a pickup by a FedEx driver.
