Pocketfold wedding invitations are an easy way to wrap all wedding stationery together in a tidy and organised way. Wedding invitations usually include a map, hotel information, the invitation itself, the gift registery, reception information, the RSVP note and self-addressed envelope. All of these items fit nicely within pocketfold invitations and do not have to be jammed into envelopes. Many couples who are planning a wedding choose to make their own pocketfold wedding invitations because it is more affordable than purchasing them.

Things you need
- 4 1/2-by-12-inch strip of cardstock (you will need one for every invitation you make)
- 4 1/2-by-2-inch strip of patterned paper (one for every invitation)
- 4 1/2-by-5 1/4-inch strip of cardstock (one for every invitation)
- 3 1/4-by-5-inch strip of cardstock (one for every invitation)
- Paper trimmer
- Glue stick
To create a pocket fold wedding invitation, first take the 4 1/2-by-12-inch strip of cardstock. Use the ruler to measure 4 1/2 half inches from the top and make a fold toward the centre of the card. Then, use the ruler to measure 10 inches from the top and create a fold toward the centre of the card. Run a glue stick down the side of the edges of the 2-inch flap. Stick the flap down to form a pocket for your invitation.
Next take the 4 1/2-by-2-inch cardstrip. Fold this strip in half lengthwise to act as an embellishment. Put the patterned paper on top. Use the glue stick to attach it to the top cover of the invitation. Then, set this part of the invitation aside.
Next, use a computer to print out your invitation details on a piece of paper or on a 3 3/4-by-5-inch card stock. Using the glue stick, attach it to the centre of the 4 1/2-by-5 1/4-inch backing card. Set it aside to let glue dry. If you have more inserts to create, make them. Cut the extra inserts a-half-inch shorter than the invitations. Once both are dry, take all your inserts and pop them into the pocket you made.
Finally, use ribbon to seal the front of the pocket fold. Tie a ribbon around the front of the pocket fold in the centre of the patterned paper embellishment. If you like, use a pair of scissors to carefully rip edges along the patterned paper to create a more decorative and artsy look.
