If you want to increase the capabilities and performance of your ATI Radeon Xpress 1100, then you need to increase the shared memory. The ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 is an on-board graphics chipset for laptops. On-board graphics chipsets share the memory (RAM) with your computer in general. If you increase the shared memory allocated to the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100, then it will decrease the overall system memory. It is not recommended that you increase the shared memory unless you have at least 1 GB of memory on your computer.
