How to reset a geovision password

The password for the Geovision digital surveillance system can be easily reset on a Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Vista computer. You can use these surveillance systems to keep track of your home and office. Geovision supervisor rights are required for you to be able to reset the password.

    Click "Start," type "regedit" in the Search box and then press "Enter."

    Double-click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder to expand it on the left-pane of the Registry Editor window that opens.

    Double-click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder to expand it. Double-click "Microsoft" folder below it and click the "DataCode" folder.

    Right-click the blue-coloured file icons on the right-pane one by one. Click "Delete." Delete all the blue-coloured file icons and then restart your computer.

    Type your Geovision supervisor ID in the "ID" box of the "First Execution of Digital-Surveillance System" dialogue box that opens up after your computer has restarted.

    Type the new Geovision password that you want to set in the "Password" box, retype the same password in the "Password Confirmation" box and click "OK."
