The Orbit Downloader download manager supports streaming media, e-mail attachments and various files from websites. Compatible with many popular browsers, Orbit Downloader lets you pause and resume downloads so that you don't have to download the entire file again. If you need to use a proxy server to download files, Orbit Downloader supports both proxies used in Internet Explorer and a custom configuration.

    Open Orbit Downloader, and then select "Preferences" from the "Tools" menu.

    Select "Proxy" on the left pane. If you do not already have a proxy server configured for Internet Explorer and need to enter customised information, untick the box next to "Internet Explorer Default Proxy."

    Select the type of proxy you want to use under "Proxy Type." Type the proxy's host address and port number under "Details," and then type your user name and password if the proxy uses one. Click "OK" to save your proxy information.
