How to Perk Up Breasts

Updated April 17, 2017

There are many factors that can affect the perkiness of your breasts. Jogging without proper breast support, breast-feeding, weight fluctuations and gravity can all take a toll on your breasts and cause sagging. Firming up your breasts is not possible because they are made of fat tissue. Instead of resorting to plastic surgery, you can firm up the muscles around your breasts which will make them look perkier and firmer and reduce sagging.

Have good posture. Sit up straight. Roll your shoulders back and push your chest outward. Pull your tummy in. Divide your weight equally over your hips. Do the same when standing up. Give the perception of being confident. Avoid slumping and slouching as this makes your breasts look droopy.

Invest in a bra that gives sufficient support. According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, wearing the wrong bra size can result in neck and back pain. Have the salesperson take your measurements to assure you get a good fit. Choose a bra with adjustable straps so you can adjust it accordingly. Opt for a bra with underwire to take excess weight off your ligaments. Use a push-up bra to give the illusion of having extra perky breasts.

Use pick-me-ups to lift your breasts up and make them look perkier. Place the bottom part of the tape over the centre of your breasts and slightly pull upward and secure it to your upper body.

Perform exercises that target your pectoral muscles. By firming your chest muscles, your breasts will appear lifted and toned. Do push-ups by coming down onto all fours. Place your hands shoulder-width apart and come up on the balls of your feet so your body is in a straight line. Stay on your knees if you are not strong enough yet to do a full push-up. Bend your elbows up to 90 degrees so your upper body lowers to the floor. Push yourself back up to the starting position and exhale. Perform as many as you can before resting.

Perform palm presses. Stand up or sit down and place the palms of your hands together in front of your chest. Point your fingers upward. Push your palms against each other and hold the tension for five seconds before releasing it. Repeat the exercise as frequently as desired.

Go swimming or use a rowing machine in the gym. These two exercises work your chest muscles and help perk up your breasts.
