The HTC HD2 is a smartphone that runs the Android operating system. The bootloader mode on your HD2 allows you to boot from a different operating system than the factory OS. You may choose to run the bootloader mode in order to flash the ROM or connect your phone to ActiveSync software. You don't have to take your phone to an HTC retailer to get your phone into bootloader mode. You can do it by pressing a few buttons during start-up.
