The Satellite Pro 4600 is a laptop manufactured by Toshiba. Released in 2001, this notebook model came with the Pentium III processor, 256 MB of memory and a 15-inch glossy screen. The Basic Input/Output System, or BIOS, is motherboard firmware that allows a user to change various system settings on the Toshiba Satellite laptop. Normally, you need to restart the computer to access the BIOS, but Toshiba notebooks have a special hardware utility program that permits BIOS access from the Windows Control Panel.
