Download and install NewLive All Media Fixer 9.13. The program is capable of finding and repairing the broken parts of MP4 files. Although a demo version is available, the full version of the program costs £19.40 as of March 2011. One of the downsides is what's known as a "nag screen," which appears at program start up until you buy the full version.
Download Digital Media Recovery Software (see Resources). Like All Media Fixer, the program has a free trial version, though costs £31.8 if you want the full version. To repair your MP4 file, you'll need to start the program, select "MP4" from the file types, select the MP4 file you wish to repair and choose where to save it.
