SKYfx is a high-speed satellite Internet provider that offers service to rural areas in the United States. The service is promoted as a no-contract alternative for subscribers who otherwise have no access to other sources of broadband Internet service, like cable or DSL services. SkyStar 2 is a personal video recorder (PVR) computer card that allows you to record live satellite programming directly to your computer; it also gives you the ability to connect a satellite Internet service like SKYfx to your computer without the need for an external modem.
