The Walbro carburettor float valve seat, also known as the needle valve seat, is designed to operate as a base or "seat" for the needle valve. It can wear down after repeated usage, causing the needle valve to travel farther than it should. The float valve seat is a very simple part to remove, but care must be taken since the part is so small.

  • Small screwdriver
  • Needle nose pliers

    Locate the needle valve lever assembly on the side of the Walbro carburettor.

    Unfasten the needle valve lever assembly from the carburettor with a small screwdriver and remove the assembly.

  3. 3

    Take the needle valve lever assembly screw out of the carburettor and lift the needle valve out with needle nose pliers.

  4. 4

    Remove the needle valve seat from the Walbro carburettor with the needle nose pliers.

Tips and warnings

  • Be careful with the extremely small parts; do not lose them while taking them out of the Walbro carburettor.
