How to create your own free printable flyers

Flyers can be an effective way to spread the word about a wide range of activities, including events, clubs, causes and promotions. Those searching for cost-effective ways to create flyers need look no further than their own computer. Basic computer applications and a wide selection of websites can help you create the perfect flyer for whatever activity you are trying to publicise.

Open up Microsoft PowerPoint.

Click on the top left button labelled "Office." Select "New" from the drop-down menu. Scroll down through the new menu and select "Flyer."

Select the layout you like best from the preloaded options provided by the program.

Edit the headings, subheadings and basic text to customise the flyer.

Go to in a new web browser.

Scroll down to view the most popular flyer templates provided by the website.

Select a template by clicking on the provided link.

Click "Download Now" to download the layout template.

Open up the template to customise the heading, subheading and basic text.


Microsoft Office is a good application to use for creating flyers on a PC. Photoshop, Quark and InDesign are good programs for Mac users. Dozens of websites offer free flyer templates. Search "flyer templates" in any search engine to find additional templates.
