Counter-Strike 1.6 is a popular shooting game played over the Internet. If you are bored with the models in the game, you can replace the skins on the weapons and the player characters.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

    Weapons Skins

  1. 1

Download a skins package from a website and extract the package.

  2. 2

Copy the .mdl files from the package and paste them in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapp\steam_username\counter-strike\cstrike\models\" if you are running Counter-Strike through Steam. Replace "steam_username" with your SteamID. Copy the .mdl files to "C:\Program Files\Valve\cstrike\models\" if you are running Counter-Strike without Steam.

  3. 3

Boot up Counter-Strike. The skins are applied to the weapons.

    Character Skins

  1. 1

Download a skins file that has the character models you want.

  2. 2

Extract the .zip or .rar file.

  3. 3

Copy and paste the .mdl files to "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steam_username\counter-strike\cstrike\models\player\ \". The space between the slashes after "player" should be replaced with the character model you are looking to replace. For example, ". . . \player\guerrilla\guerrilla.mdl" replaces the guerrilla skin.
