Find creative ways to display ballet shoes. You can hang them from the wall using a nail, or simply hang them from a bedpost. Displaying your daughter's ballet shoes in a shadowbox will create a memento for her to cherish. As she grows, she will find it hard to believe that her feet once fit into shoes so small.

  1. 1

Gather ballet shoes and a photo of your daughter wearing the shoes. If you have dried roses you gave to your daughter after her performance, or tickets from a recital, you can add these items to the shadow box.

  2. 2

Purchase a shadow box from a craft store. Bring the shoes to the store with you, to ensure you buy a shadow box large enough for them.

  3. 3

Decorate the shadow box with the pictures and mementos you gathered. Arrange the items before you attach them permanently, to make sure the design is balanced. Attach the items using glue and pins. The ballet shoes should be attached to the back of the shadow box using superglue or a nail. Make sure the nail does not protrude through the back of the shadow box. Cover the head of the nail by gluing a portion of the ballet shoes' ribbon to the nail head. Close the shadow box.

  4. 4

Hang the shadow box on the wall using a nail and hammer. You can hang the shadow box containing the ballet shoes in your daughter's room, the playroom or the living room. Your daughter will admire the shoes for years to come.
