Many Wi-Fi fans use Apple's Airport products to set up their own wireless network at home. If you have recently acquired a Sony Bravia HDTV, you may be wondering how to get video from the Internet to your TV. As of February 2011, all Bravia televisions feature built-in wireless support for Internet connectivity. To get your Bravia and Airport network to work together, you will need to adjust some settings in the Airport Utility software.

Instructions

    Airport Express

    Connect the Airport Express adaptor to the Sony Bravia using an Ethernet cable.

    Launch "AirPort Utility" on your computer. Click "Manual Setup" and select the "Wireless" tab. Within "Wireless Mode," select "Extend a Wireless Network."

    Type the name of your wireless network into the text field provided. Check the "Allow wireless clients" box. Type your wireless network password, if applicable. Click "Update." Your Bravia should now be connected to your Airport.

    Airport Extreme

    Connect your Airport Extreme adaptor to the Sony Bravia using an Ethernet cable.

    Launch "AirPort Utility" on your computer. Click "Manual Setup" and select the "Wireless" tab. Within "Wireless Mode," select "Create a Wireless Network."

    Check the box labelled "Allow this network to be extended." Click "Update."
