The ATI SB450 high-definition audio controller comes on a number of medium- to high-end motherboards. The chipset is also used with some third-party devices to provide high-definition audio. In the past, installing a driver meant locating the device's software and using the Device Manager to install the software manually. Now, Microsoft Windows 7 is able to download drivers from a Microsoft database that contains only the most recent software for your device.
