The plane of your swing with your driver and irons is among the most important parts of your golf game, and can go a long way in lowering your score. Swing plane trainers can be made from a variety of specialised equipment, but they can also be made from household items easily. These items will have you reinforcing the right habits and keeping your swing on the correct path through your upswing, downswing and follow through.

- Two swimming pool floating noodles
Place your golf ball on the ground and place two swimming noodles parallel to each other on opposite sides of the golf ball.
Address the ball as your normally would and place the noodles so that the natural curve of the item is facing toward you. Place the ball in the middle of the curve.
Make sure the noodle is just inches from the ball on the outside of the ball, furthest from you, and about a foot from the ball, between you and the ball.
Make your swing on the ball and your swing plane should follow the length of the curved noodle on both the inside and outside of the ball, just missing the outside noodle.
