An Omron Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is designed to connect to your computer, hand-held programmer and other devices to control its various elements with fast Input/Output (I/O) scanning times. The Omron models can support multiple devices with its back interface, but it will not transfer scan data properly if its wired cables are not properly connected from its back to your device. Ensure that you have the right equipment for the job, and insert the right plugs to the Omron to get the most out of it.

Insert the output end of the cable into the Omron. For example, the C200H-PRO 27-E's cable plugs into an Omron CPM2C communications port.

  3. 3

Power on both devices for the Omron to scan the device's data.

Tips and warnings

  • Check the cable wiring information included with your Omron product; the specific Omron you own may require multiple cable connections from your Omron to your device in order to scan its data.
